Mercedes VS. BMW

Having the privlage to be able to own and drive both cars, have found that each satisfy a differnt sense of driving pleasure. I have a 1983 mercedes 500SL AMG with 60,000 miles and a 1983 BMW 633 CSI with nearly 220,000. I find the BMW to be slightly more sporty with it's five speed gear box and inline six motor. I find the mercedes to be more of a car to be able to enjoy the drive in and be slightly more relaxed. I also find the mercedes seems to be a little more tightly buit when it comes to the body compents and it justs seems heviear. Also (believing that I have MB Tex) It seems like it has held up better then the BMW's leather, but that may not be fair when we consider the milage difference between the two car. So, it seems obvious that I love both cars, the next question is what is the best car to take a girl out for a nice date in?

Well, How old are you..?

How old is she..?

What kind of girl is she..?

Is she very sophisticated, and more mature...? The Benz, of course my good man...

Is she more rambunctous, and a little more wild, and a little less mature...? Of course, you'd use the BMW for that one dude..

My rationalizations...

BMW == A Mercedes, with training wheels, but a little more hyper, and itching to grow up, and become a big nice mature Mercedes...

If I tell you, I'll have to kill you.
Then take away both your cars!

a lot of them wont notice any difference between the two. but make sure it is clean and doesnt stink inside.

so drive the one that makes you feel good about yourself the most.

In my experience, girls just love the smell of money/success. These are NOT the girls I could even think about spending my whole life with.

The fact that you have to ask yourself that question implies that life is good!

In most cases I would say Mercedes but the looks and styling of the 6er its the pick for me, it turns head everywhere you go and the women love the look of it.

Will the weather be convertible-friendly? Is she the type that will become manic if the wind musses up her hair?

I need to get some better pictures of it. I would like to find out more about the AMG 107s, ie did they leave the factory this way, or was a conversion done letter etc. I would also be interested in produciton numbers and anything else that you might have. Thanks.

I'm not a big BMW fan, they are nice though. My aunt just got a Z4 and its ok, much better then the Z3, if you want a little drop top they are pretty nice. The only BMW's I like are the last gen 5 and 7 series, the older 6 series, and the X5. Everyone has a 3 series and they are way to commen to be interesting. I guess they drive pretty good, but the interiors are lame. They don't seem to hold up that well either.

Mercedes builds a better car IMHO, unless you only care about sport. Then buy a BMW.
