Good landing! Bad taxi!

This Beechcraft Staggerwing 17 made a perfect landing. Then, upon taxing, it went nose down.

The prop is shot. The engine is probably also shot.

OUCH !!!

I love planes. As a matter of fact, this is next on my agenda, to learn how to fly one and then I will start saving for one.

Where did this "ground loop" happen? These are really nice planes, and got to see at least one of them here for our BiPlane Expo last week !

Camarillo Airport, California.

If memory serves me right this particular plane has been in one or two movies. I will check.

Yep, all it will need is a new prop and possibly a new engine.

BTW, here is Glacier Girl, flying between the F15 and the P51.



Next week (I think) she will be flying out of Chino Airport on her way to finishing her previously interrupted journey to Europe. Steve Hinton will be the pilot.
