Question Selling a car on Ebay ?

Ok. So now I've bought a car on Ebay. Went well. Now I'm thinking I'll list my SD on Ebay. How's it go from a sellers viewpoint? Good experience, bad experience? Anyone?

I sold my 300SD on ebay about a month ago. It was the smoothest and simplest car sale I have ever done.

I just put it on no reserves, started at $100 and let it go.

Thanks!
I'm going to take a mess of pictures tomorrow, and get it posted. I need to do it quick, before I change my mind and decide to keep it.

How much did you end up getting? I just picked up an E320 from my friend, so my trusty 300E has to go. It's my baby and has been treated as such, but I fear the lowballers on ePray won't appreciate all the hard work I put into it. Maybe I should try the Mercedesshop "Cars" section?

I posted my SD here, first, a couple weeks ago. Got zip response. I think it has alot to do with what you're selling, for how much, and a big part is where you're at. I'm kinda up here in the middle of nowhere, in N. Utah, and wasn't selling a hard to find model, even though I still feel it was priced right.
I say, try here first, maybe a week or 2, then slide over to Ebay. Just a thought.

If you can wait til Wednesday 6/6/07 at 20:00:01 PDT, I can give you an educated answer.

At 1690 viewers as of now....

Can't beat it for having people looking at your car.

Let's see how many are serious....

I didn't have any luck on this site, people here know to much about these cars. I would have been happy with anything over $800, I got just under $1k by the time I paid ebay their $90 in "fees".

The mileage is going to hurt yours. People are going to be scared off by the mileage.

It has a practically new engine, which I'm hoping will offset that some. The P.O. put a factory rebuilt crate engine in the car at about 300K miles. But yeah, I'm worried about that. I know I was when I bought it. Proved to be a false worry, but try and convince others of that.

Doesn't matter, 360k is 360k. Most people will think its about ready to fall apart. I would be surprised if you got more then $2k for it, maybe a bit more but not much. Might be worth more to you as a second car.

Actually, that's right in what I want for it. So I'll be happy with that.
I really don't NEED to sell it. But if I do, it'll let me pay off my truck loan almost a year ahead of schedule, so we'll be back to just one car payment. I bought the Lexus a bit sooner than I was ready to, but it was sucha good deal, I HAD to grab it.
So, I'm gonna put a conservative minimum bid on it, like $1k, and see what happens.

My 300E has 153K and I'm looking to get about $4700 for it. It has been very well maintained. Should I even bother listing it here or go straight to eBay? What do you think about Auto Trader?

My experience with Auto Trader is that it is a lesson in futility.

I'd put it on ebay.
