Hopefully that crate contains more than those annoying styrofoam peanuts.

I'll see if I can get some pics of it on the site here...2 owners before me had stuck an extended fork on it...the PO just rode it around for a while 'til his wife forced him to sell it (she took over the garage w/her sign-painting business, then she dumped him after the bike was sold...). I found a biker/welder that was able to extend the down-tubes on the front of the frame and he also re-raked the bike so I had the crank sitting back in the oil like OEM specs. He welded that frame straight and it rides, probably, better than factory...I can take my hands off the bars and steer the thing with my weight alone...
But I still can't get the wifey to hop on the back...

It isn't a closed crate, as the handlebars are installed, and the bike is ready to go.

The factory ships them to dealers in a metal framed housing, with double layered cardboard top. The bikes come pretty much fully assembled already, with the exception of the controls, and handlebars, and a few other misc. parts, to be installed by the dealer.

The crate, is more or less, just the bottom part, and the top is open, because th bike went directly from the floor, back onto the crate. The crate, is more like just a pallet, with a channel in the middle, for the wheels to fit in, and securement eyelets, and nylon straps.

She's fully exposed, but the crate made it possible to put it onto the truck with a fork lift, and transport it home safely.

I only like to ride my bikes in the mountains. However, space is a premium at my modest compound in the Blue Ridge Mountains due to the extensive car collection taking up the eight bays of the garage, and I generally like to ride a bike that fits my mood on a particular day (I have at last count, 112 cycles, one trike and a sandrail that has a motorcyle tag on it). And then it hit me---I was watching the boys wash down the Azimuth from the porch at the Bimini Boat Yard and looked across the causeway at a Boatel--that's it!! I will build a boatel at my mountain house that is only maybe two or three garage bays wide, but has shelves and is 30 feet tall. I can stack them in there six bikes wide, four deep and five tall (I thought, what the hell, I may buy a few more you never know). It is pretty funny seeing my bikes get tossed around with a forklift that will rise up 30 feet, but man, I sure have gotten a lot of saddle time since I put in the cycle stacker and may even start a side business building them for some of my friends like Jay Leno.

Nik I could probably cut you a deal for materials only depending on how many bikes you plan on storing and which of your homes you would potentially want one for.

Hopper or Fonda? Hopefully not Nicholson, as he looked a bit bizarre riding the cycle while sporting that gold football helmet.

Which reminds me to thank you for the recent loan of your Gulfstream G550, and to apologize for returning it with the gas guage on "E".

After I blew out the 120 Genoa on your Swann 60 last year passing through Gibraltar and the stitchers are so far behind schedule in Moracco, I think you could call it even. Hell, I'll even send you an extra inferior product I picked up from a loft at Sobstaad to tide you over in case you are heading back to the Med for the summer I hear nik is trucking some stuff to the Canaries for Mr. Big next week and maybe we can tag it along, so you might have the cloth next week ready to bend on....

I'm Fonda, JD is Nickolson.

On a serious note i am having problems with parking for my luxury helicopter @ work what do you guys do for landing you helicopters? I am pretty much grounded and have to take the Maybach to work which takes an extra 15 minutes which translates to $150,000 of lost revenue.

I had a similar problem in Manhattan, once I closed on my purchase of the Chrysler Building. You just have to construct a helipad on top of your building, or just purchase enough land nearby to construct a private airstrip. Problem resolved.

Manhattan is much more helicopter friendly. I noticed on Drudge that there is a private buyer for the $300,000,000 was that you or JD? I have ordered my 787 Dreamliner - buying American.

$300,000,000? Pfft. I've had more imposing bar bills.
