Meet-up at the Palo Alto Concours, June 24th?
I while back I had a thread about this Ferrari:
It's going to be displayed at the Palo Alto Concours near Stanford on Sunday, June 24th, 7 am to 4:30 pm. One fellow, I think it was justinwrock, suggested a meet-up. I'm going either way. Admission in $25, for Lions Club charities, and not a bad deal considering the Pebble Beach show has a gate of around $175, IIRC. They say there's going to be approx. 100 Ferraris there, a buncha Cords, antique tractors, some other goodies, no doubt. Here's the website of the show. I've never gotten too excited about Cords, I don't imagine it'll take too long to walk past them on the way to the Ferraris. I have very little to offer in the way of amenities -- my abode is some 40 to 45 miles distant, in Berkeley; I have a small warehouse about 5 miles from the show but it's pretty spartan. I can give more detailed driving directions if you need them.

Wish I could come, CMAC. I'd love to see the cars and meet you and any other forum members that may show up. I'd be surprised if Jim B didn't show up for this. Unfortunately it's about 3000 miles too far away for me to make it. Post some pics if you go. I'd love to see that Ferrari!

There a nifty sports pub in Palo Alto, less than a mile from the show, I forget the name and exact address. I'll be back down there on Monday, I'll go check it out.
Then again, the show runs from 7 to 4:30, the pub might not be open soon enough. Maybe a breakfast restaurant would be better. There's a cute little mom and pop place a couple doors away from the Starbucks and Noah's Bagels which are on the corner of Bryant and University in PA. I don't think I'd be up and functional much before 9 or 10 on a Sunday. Coming from Sacramento, the most direct route would be 101 south our of SF, take the University exit in Palo Alto. The Woodside, Marsh Rd., and Willow exits come just before for reference. West on University, a few blocks after you hit the business district, you'll see the Starbucks on your left.

Whoops, the Mom and Pop place near Starbucks in Palo Alto is no more. I don't hang around Palo Alto as much as I used to and come to think of it, I haven't eaten at the little cafe in about 3 years. It's now the "(something or other) Mediterranean," no breakfast and pricey.
Instead, how about we just meet at Starbucks on the corner of University and Bryant in PA? I'm not a huge Starbucks fan but the house coffee (non espresso) is not bad and I imagine they'll have some kind of decent breakfast booths at the concours.
