Makes you think...:book:

We did calculations for that a few times in physics.. And a demonstration with some lasers :)

He says that the particle changes into a wave, and back to a particle. That surely can't be the case.

We know that light is quantized. We know that electrons are quantized. We also know that both are waves, due to this kind of experiment.

I was taught the Bohr model of the atom in grade school; this is where the electron orbits the nucleus. There are a few problems with this model. First, it is physically impossible for a charged particle to remain in an orbit, as the acceleration of the particle will create electromagnetic waves, removing energy from the orbit. Second, the wave model of the electron is predictive, in that we know that electrons have multiple energy states which are unaccounted for in the Bohr model.

So what's the only conclusion? Waves and particles are the same thing.

there's something going on that is kind of spooky when you start fooling with God's Plan. He told me not to align sluts in the dark that wave at you.

Beautiful! :)

I wonder if this test was done in a vacuum to negate interference from the air/contaminants.

I also wonder what kind of energy is expelled when "firing" an electron.

Old-style televisions fire lots of electrons, (obviously?) in a vacuum.

What kind of energy is released? Electrons are released. X-rays are released when they hit certain other things.
