Favorite Drink
Since we did the favorite sandwhich thread i figured we needed something to wash the sandwhiches down with. What is your favorite drink and how do you make it? Mine is a "Melontini" made with cold fresh melons in a blender and Sky Melon flavored vodka. After a few of these i can usually start the conga line.

I like Porter's, some more than others. I like ANYTHING Great Lakes Beer makes. When it comes to cocktails, I usually go fufu and get Grape Vodka and Tonic, or an Espresso Martini. Although in a pinch, a Dirty one with a touch of vermuth will get me good and tight.

Maker's Mark on the rocks (if it is warm outside)...in the winter I'll take it neat...
Though this summer I've been dabbling in gin and tonic a little...mostly Beefeater...as I get older I'm tolerating the heat less so bourbon isn't always the best thing to drink while sitting out in the sun...I'm old school like that... I've been staying away from beer in recent months...but am yearning for a Newcastle...perhaps when I tackle the rust on the 300 I'll pick up a case...

Nice pure, cold water. Nothing better. No one and nothing can top mother natures best.

A Pisco Sour. (Made with Pisco from Peru, not from Chile).
Peruvians and Chileans argue ceaselessly, about who invented the drink, and who makes the better Pisco.

Pisco?
What is Pisco? Is that anything like tequilla?
Personally, a wee dram of McCallan 12 year old neat will do me just fine.

Whew, so many to choose from.
Can't go wrong with a good ol' gin and tonic or any of the various martinis you can make....bloody marys are yummy, especially when they're good and spicy...the other day I made a drink with dark rum and mashed mint leaves. Good stuff! For straight liquor I would choose Mezcal. You know, con gusano. It tastes terrible but is worth drinking. Or, you could take the Grateful Dead's advice and have a cup of Rock and Rye. That's refreshing on a hot day.

Margaritas -- real Margaritas, served over ice in a Margarita glass with salt along the rim. You can take strawberry Margaritas and frozen Margaritas and gently place them where the sun don't shine.
