Its like sitting on top of a missle! Supposidly its a 500hp+ Suzuki Hayabusa.

I've seen that before.. pretty cool...

Drop it off a cliff, that will make it go faster.

Holy crappola batman, was he doing a wheelie up until 120 mph?! It sure looked like the front end dropped pretty dramatically at that point.

I've sorta got bikes outta my system but there are times I wish I was on, say, a Ducati 900, and that's when I see someone weaving way too dangerously though heavy freeway traffic. It's something I need to suppress -- the vigilante urge.

No way I'm going to duplicate their weaving in a car to follow them til they stop and pound them (if possible, I'm not a tiny weakling but I'm not suicidal either) but with a bike, it would be easy to stay up with them w/o resorting to the same sort of risky behavior.

I dunno, maybe I'm getting to be an old curmudgeon but when someone purt near clips my front end and then replicates that nonsense til I lose sight of them cause they want to cut 5 minutes off their ride home, my face pounding mechanism starts to kick in.

Years ago in Seattle, I got on highway 99 (the old throughway before I-5) just before the Aurora bridge and some fool in a beat up Dodge Dart starting weaving through traffic (40 mph limit, he was easily shooting for 60-65). It was near unbelievable. A few months later, I turn on the news and there was a report of the same sort of driving on the same bridge causing an accident, many people injured, some serious. Whattayaknow, they showed the smashed up perp's car and I'm 99% certain it was the same car. Weird thing, I might have known the guy a few years previous when we drove for the same cab co. I remember he had a Dart and the guy looked a bit like him (small, wired up and angry) when he passed me that one time.

They had two guys on "Pinks: racing Hayabusa's. Crazy fast bikes. Made for some really good racing.

I think that he is going faster than the terminal velocity he would have falling off of a cliff. Not that I want to do either one, mind you.

kmaysob 06-18-2007 09:31 PM

i belive the max speed free falling is 120 isnt it?

TheDon 06-18-2007 09:55 PM

terminal velocity for a human within the atmosphere is 120 mph...

cmac2012 06-22-2007 04:26 PM

That's what I've always heard. The mass of a bike is greater (mass per cubic inch that is) so it would likely be a bit faster, as we are 98% or so water, which is lighter than steel.
