Anyone go to this college?

http://www.maritime.edu/l2.cfm?page=65

I'm thinking about it, quite seriously. After this year at SCSU I will have 92 credits out of the 122 I need to graduate. I wonder how many would transfer, I wonder if I could graduate from MMA in 2-3 years...

Through my social circles I run into a lot of MMA grads, and hear stories about their world travels, etc, etc. It sounds like it would be a heck of a lot of fun, to travel the world on big ships for awhile.

I'd go for the International Maritime Business degree. I'm an International Business Management major at SCSU now, and frankly I'm not that happy with SCSU's program.

Getting paid to be on the water...hmm...

I didn't but one of my father's dock-mates did and has some real interesting tales.

As close as you are to graduating, if it were me, I'd probably just stick it out and get your degree. I made the mistake of flipping back and forth between UConn and CCSU in a fit of indecision and it really prolonged things far more than it needed to be. A lot of credits didn't transfer either.

As fascinating as MMA and the related endeavors would be, just get it over with. Then look into something post-graduate that may offer a similar opportunity. Then again, only you know how much school you want to deal with and how long you want to delay becoming the Trump of southwestern CT.

Now if I were just going into college, that would be a different story all together!

Well I'm going to look into it, because if I can do it in two years I may go for it.

The problem would be that my real estate endevers would have to be put on hold for a bit, I don't know if I want to do that.

My original plan was to finish this upcoming year at SCSU, then finish the rest up part time. IE take 2-3 classes at a time for the next year. That way I can work full time and start working on my CCIM. I will owe about $10k for student loans, I want to get that paid off next year so I can get my CCIM which costs about $10k.

But if I could graduate from MMA in two years, then sail the seas for a bit, make some money....

I really need to think.

Try this school. I believe their located in Vallejo, which puts on SF Bay. Good school. Sailboat racing EVERY weekend of the year, one of the hottest most competitive J105 fleets in the country. And the real estate market is still doing pretty good.
