The sidewalk isn't safe!

The ever-accomodating husband person and I have taken to walking in the morning, 4 times a week for 3 miles.

Wednesday we were about 3/4 a mile into our walk, and some _____ head jumped the curb and whacked my hand with his passenger side view mirror.

Now the bummer is, I'm left handed, its my left hand - and I kinda need it.

Of course he was 1) on the phone 2) drives away.

Lucky me, it was a glancing blow - my knuckle swelled up impressively, but I still had movement, etc. Two days later I've got full motion, but a little sore.

Anyway - I was grateful that it wasn't 4 more inches to the right - I'd be in much worse shape. More grateful I wasn't on a bicycle (not an uncommon occurance) and of course, that it wasn't my spousal unit. He can be such a dramatic baby when he gets hurt

Anyway, this was a good example of the fact that the majority of humans have not evolved quite enough to manage cell phones and driving. And I hate to pass laws based on the lowest common denominator, but as long as the "Cloud of Stupid" hangs over the ATL - these people need to get rid of their phones.

Sorry about the hand injury. Be thankful it's not worse.

You may have realized that the majority of humans are not quite evolved enough to manage driving a motorized vehicle at speeds in excess of 10 mph.........cell phones notwithstanding.

And, if you really want to see a free-for-all...........wait until sundown.........or the slightest hint of moisture..........or both.

Don a cervical collar immediately and call one of those attorneys who advertises on cable TV at 3 AM.
