Stolen T-Bird found 31 years later

31 years to the EXACT day that it was stolen, this 1956 Ford Thunderbird was found, and reunited with its owner.

They had a spread on that in the SF Chron. I wonder what the lady who bought it on e-bay will be left with?

Will she be the loser in this?

The article suggests that Allstate paid the owner for the loss of the T-Bird. If that is so, Allstate owns the car.

If that person was the thief. It might have changed hands several times in the interim.

And that's an interesting point about Allstate owning the car.
