RadioShack Xmod cars(lil rc cars)

man these things are fun. I bought it in nashville at the radioshack since they were on sale for 25$ plus I got 3 accessories for free. (total value like 80$)..

I installed the AWD conversion kit and the upgraded motor (30k rpms and a 12/23 gear set)

The dog hates it but its soo cool to drift it around the furniture and zip around the street.

if I ever get bored I might take the spare motor and experiment with some 30ag wire and wind my own and get some neomydium mags(sp) for fun

boredom at its peak

I have 3 of them now. One was a christmas gift a while back, and the other 2 were being sold cheap by a kid in my area. Great little toys, and cheap enough to start a collection.

All mine are the 1st gen though....If more free ones fell into my laps I'd take them, but 3 is enough to have fun with friends....

This week I took a cheap RS RC truck body off and stuffed in 9 "sub C" nicads from a Dewalt batt pack. Stock form was 8 AA cells.

It can't get out of it's own way now. You have top feather the throttle to start.

Then we pimped it out with some cardboard disc covered with aluminum foil hot glued to the wheels plus a big hood scoop, rear wing.

All this inspired by a three yr old staying with us this week.

Tonight we launched wads of soaked paper towels stuffed into the neck of 2 liter coke bottles by stomping on them. Shot the dog down the hall.

Man, is he going to be spoiled when he gets back this weekend.
