They are horn speakers, due to that they need proper amp matching as well as proper placement and room acoustics to sound good.

I remember Kipsch speakers from back in the seventies and eighties. They seemed to all be the size of tool sheds back then. How are their smaller ones today?

I've seen small, inexpensive sets for surround sound and computer connections. Does anyone have an opinion about those? I know that the little Bose speaker sets get knocked a lot. How are the Klipsch ones, compared to those?

Not the same type of horn as the lab.


It uses bandpass loading below the speakers f3 (If I remember correctly) And proper power and placement are important for any speaker.

He compared his piezo array to a two hundred dollar ribbon array. Peizos sounded better. You'd need to eq's the speaker to the room anyways (smaart or some other RTA) so that not a big deal (ahem - don't your prized ev's and unity horns need that also?)
