Crap! How do you keep those skinny rear wheels on the ground?

And take another pair of wheels with you to the track.

What's the asking price?

Transplanted mill. That car isn't even an SS. Might even run better on 103 octane Avgas.

First year for the 454 was 1970, in the SS 454.

You'd twist off the differential after every 5th burnout. You pay the bills by bounty hunting Hemi Cuda's.

Wicked good fun, for sure. A wheelstanding honey, for sure. Only good in a straight line though. It will corner on its doorhandles.

It had a 350, not an SS, nothing special.

A local, well regarded engine builder did the motor and driveline to the tune of $20k. Nice thing about the car is that it's clean, with a suprsingly good paint job, not a "10 foot'er" by any means. Interior is about 8/10.

The rear tires are way too skinny, we spun the thing out at 60 mph. Went down the highway ramp and got the front wheels of the ground (he was driving) I just about crapped my pants.

He wants $20K. Probably would take $18.5

Not sure, probably 235's. Need at least 285's on the rear. Fronts are almost new, but the rears- yikes.

It's just an old Chebby with a monster motor. The guy is selling his built Camaro as well, needs cash fast. Both cars have been on the market for a month, dropped prices on both. I think he's ready to deal.

It's a street car, however he's driven it on the interstate at ~75mph, but it's not built for that. Maybe a few miles here and there. It doesn't have a hood either. I found one on Craig's list for $75. A body shop could cut it and paint it flat black for a few hun.

One word: Impractical.

Heck ya. I just have to convince my wife. Achem, "Dear, it's a "shop car", not really "our car" ".

I've looked at some pro-streets -- 10 gallon gas tanks and useless tubbed trunks, not to mention roll cages and no windshield wipers. Plus most are priced $30K plus.

At least this car is pretty much intact. Needs a hood and also needs the heater hoses hooked up. A/C compressor is out of course.

He's never taken it to the track. With MT slicks and tuned right, I'd bet it would run an easy 10 sec 1/4 mile. Mine (with street/strip tires) will do 11.9.
