Must be fake.

But in such a case, having a piece (and being to shoot well with your weak hand) won't help much. The guy will run. If you shoot a man running away from you, you will be charged with his murder. It doesn't matter that he just robbed you.

Then spin the punk around and shoot him about 8 more times through the initial wound.
Most cops would thank you for getting the bstrd off the streets, well at least they do down South when you get rid of one of those suckers.

If he had been carrying the gun inhis hand he would have not been able to stop this sneak attack (assuming its real).

We have a new law in Texas, you can shoot first in your home, no need to try and escape first.

At least you can buy a long rifle or shotgun now. You can also legally shoot a pistol at a range.

Rifles are fun to shoot, but nothing beats a good pistol. It feels a lot like someone hitting the front of the gun with a block of wood when you set it off, but actually hitting the target is quite rewarding.

It's not how big the gun is that matters. At that range, a 22 short will be lethal. Assuming both parties have the stones to shoot, it comes down to who has the drop on whom. If I had the gun to your head, it won't matter how big a gun you pull out. Before you get it cleared of the holster, you'd be dead and vice versa.

Whether you carry a gun or not the point of it is to avoid shooting in the first place.

But the question remains if you get smacked over the head by surprise how are you going to recover and return fire?

When I am alone I always look over my shoulder every 30 seconds or so to see if anyone is following.

Absolutely agreed.

Well, if you can recover and return fire, you stand a better chance of coming out of the encounter than if you recover and CANNOT return fire. Now, if someone sniped you from 300 yards away, gun or no gun, you are SOL. However, if they don't terminate you with their first salvo and you can return fire, you are in a way better position than if you cannot return fire.

Good idea
