Carbon Trail ??

With all the talk lately about people and their “Carbon Footprints”.

We were wondering...
Would this be considered a “Carbon Trail” ?

Yes.

No. Those are the wingtip sighting devices used to help her fly precise vertical, horizontal and 45-degree lines. They are also referred to as “cheaters”.

Here’s a close-up of her buddy Bruces’ Extra. Shows them pretty good. Hers are the same.

Cheaters make it boring I prefer to shut one eye to make it a bit more of a challenge.

Perhaps a bit more of a challenge to keep lunch down too, I'd say.

Uh - oh, that carbon trail is not within guidelines. I'm afraid I'm going to have to report this . . .

I work the rudders the normal way, mind control.

Seriously, I don't know how long a person could go with eyes shut on a ride like that I have a stomach of iron but I think if anything would do it, thats it.

Actually -
I think you’d do better with both eyes closed, then just closing the one.

Just feeling the movement(s) without reference to the horizon, nor the outside world, is really not that bad.
It gives your mind only one thing to deal with. The movement.

OTOH - Feeling the movement(s) with a reference to the horizon (seeing it tumble) but having no depth perception to the objects (moving around) in the outside world....that might be a bad thing.

Actually - Sickness is not her main fear when it comes to passengers/students. Very few have ever gotten sick.
She had a guy a few years back, she took up in my moms Super Decathlon that actually froze up on the controls. She was able to loosen her straps and reach up and hit the guy in the back of the head.
That’s not an option in the 300L. Later that night was the only time I’ve ever seen her cry from fear.
And get this - The guy was an ex-F-18 pilot.
