Top GEar coming to BBC America

I received this after an inquiry to BBC America Programming Department...

"Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We hope you'll be pleased to know that BBC America indeed plans to accelerate into the fast lane with the U.S. premiere of "Top Gear," which we anticipate airing later this year."

So check the BBC America site for updates on the schedule for 3Q07 and 1Q08..

I was unable to find out of it will be starting at Show #1 or will carry TG from last season. It most likey will be the BBC 2 feed if they run it as I suspect...which means from Show #1.

It's been here on BBC Canada for some time now. Love the show! I think it is current at the present. They just had the show where Richard returns after the accident. If you don't know about it, I won't go into further details.

When Discovery ran it, it was my favorite show on TV by a long shot. Then they dumped it. I'll keep an eye out, but I sure hope someone posts when they see it.

Maybe you'll get Robbie Williams.

I can't imagine Top Gear without those guys, especially Clarkson. He makes the show, IMO.

All Clarkson has to do is call two American cars "rubbish" as he is won't to do, and 500 pickup-truck-driving Bubbas will rip their satellite receiver out of the wall.

Only if Clarkson's in drag, and I wouldn't call him hot.

I think there is a competing show called "Fifth Gear". That may be the one you have in mind.

No, you are probably thinking of Vicky Butler-Henderson, on "Fifth Gear"
(the competing show to Top Gear)

He could be referring to the rather fetching German lady who Clarkson raced against at Nürburg.

Thank you very much it is 5th gear. Have you ever heard in a car when she is busy? It sounds familiar.
