I closed out Hump day by replacing the monovalve, air filter and breather hose on the CD and the brake booster on the TD.

The hardest thing I've had to do in my career prior to becoming a SAHD, was having to be the one to fire my friend of 7 years who still lives around the corner from me. I tried to do it with integrity and help him find another job and we're still friends (luckily). It still bothers me when I think of it though.

I work for a large well-known international pharmaceutical company. There was a departmental meeting today to discuss layoffs. Ten out of about 50 people are planned to be cut. The list was presented and I survived. Almost had a heart attack prior to the announcement.

My father almost passed away this weekend with internal bleeding. He is now out of ICU but still in the hospital to get his blood pressure stable.

Glad to hear he's doing better, 865! I know there were a lot of things my wife wanted to tell her mom before she passed away, and they had a great relationship. You've been given another chance with your dad so make the best of it!

My grandfather died shortly after my MIL. While he was in the hospital I told him I loved him for the first time and he died less than a week later. I'm glad I got the chance.
