Slave labor used to contruct U.S. Embassy In Baghdad?

WTF? (from the admittedly left wing http://thinkprogress.org):

Slave labor used to contruct U.S. Embassy In Baghdad.

During testimony before the House Oversight Committee today, Rory Mayberry, a former subcontract employee of the firm responsible for the construction of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, said he believes that at least 52 Filipino nationals had been kidnapped to work on the embassy project. He testified:

Mr. Chairman, when the airplane took off and the captain announced that we were heading to Baghdad, all you-know-what broke out on the airplane. The men started shouting, it wasn’t until the security guy working for First Kuwaiti waved an MP5 in the air that the men settled down. They realized that they had no other choice but to go to Baghdad. Let me spell it out clearly: I believe these men were kidnapped by First Kuwaiti to work at the US Embassy… I’ve read the State Department Inspector General’s report on the construction of the embassy. Mr. Chairman, it’s not worth the paper it’s printed on. This is a cover-up and I’m glad that I’ve had the opportunity to set the record straight.
Geez. I wonder who this Mayberry guy is.

I haven't seen anyone make that claim yet. You got a link to anyone who said that? Or is that just your got-to-defend-the-war reflex talking?

It's my "Heard that; got the t-shirt" inoculation response.

Our freaking gov hasn't the ability to keep 15 million illegal aliens out of the country, much less track them. who TF thinks we know who is working for a subcontractor in a 3rd world war zone?

Sucks to be them. I'm sure they got paid something, and I doubt they were held at gunpoint while working.

I beg your pardon? Slave labor on an American construction project is old news to you? Gosh, where have I been? I would have thought that was a significant thing.

And who TF says different? I don't see anything in the brief video on http://thinkprogress.org that blames the US for not knowing that these allegations were made against the First Kuwaiti employees. The complaint is that the State Department is now covering it up, according to this guy.

But these allegations seem old hat to you. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.
