Another sweetie, but too rich for my blood

Beautiful car, but the almost straight up and down windshield looks a bit odd these days.

It appears to be a Nardi-brand wheel, a popular aftermarket accessory back in the day. The factory wheel is very similar to the plastic Mercedes sedan wheel of the time. Ok car, but ditch the whitewallls and drop the price $10k or so.

I've got that 3-spoke Nardi Mercedes wheel, myself. I ain't parting with it.

It actually served as the wheel of choice for my mother's 1983 300TD, and then later it was passed down to me on my 1985 300D and later the 1984 300SD.

Its an eye catcher.

The nardis were made in Italy and came on Ferraris back then. They are lovely and have a very nice feel to them.

Lovely car, it looks like.

Probably not the most popular color but I like it.

I have always thought the pagoda roof sls are very very handsome.

Beautiful car! Almost makes my heart stop. I love Pagodes.
Notice the center console shifter, the 'Park' position is at the low end ...
... it must be a '69 thing. My 6.3 year '69 had it the same way.
Kind of a special feel to it, when you push the lever forward, in case of a manual down shift.

Agreed, I was just expressing my personal preference.

White wall tires on MB vehicles are an exclusive preference on the US market.

Sexy.

That looks fantastic. My dad and I are still on the quest to find a Pagoda.

One day, we will have one.
