playing iPod on another PC
Is there a way to play an iPod through the USB cable on a PC with iTunes but not paired with the iPod? Is there a way to use the USB cable without iTunes?
Thanks, Sixto 87 300D |

yes... when the ipod tries to sync with the new computer it will ask if you want to delete the library and re sync with the new one.. click no... it should then load up and allow you to play off the ipod but not put any songs on it.
no other way to do it unless you use some other form of media player that the ipod is compatible with |

I can see the contents of the iPod on iTunes but everything is grayed out. I can't select anything to play. On the other hand, I have control to select and play songs on the iPod. What am I missing?

iPods are allowed 5 satellite computers and 1 home computer if IIRC... I just know that when I syncd mine to a friends I didnt let it erase and sync with his and it wasn't greyed out.

How? Songs are grayed out in iTunes so I can't select or play. I can play on the iPod but no sound from the PC.
