Paul Anka Sings Bob Seger

Move Over "Having My Baby"

The other "covers" will make you run for cover as well.

A lot of people have covered Anka too. He wrote Sinatra's "My Way," and Carson's "Tonight Show" theme.

Smooth (no sarcasm)

Nothing wrong with the samples I listened to. Sort of "Sinatra lite."

Remember, Anka was one of the first teen singing stars of the rock-'n'-roll era, just as Sinatra was of the big-band "crooner" era. He's not some Justin Timberlake-come-lately. You might laugh at some of his choices, but considering how poor most music is today (in my opinion, of course, but I'm not alone. See the "Rap music" thread!), it's a pleasure to hear somebody who can actually sing.

He's reinterpreting classic pop songs, not trying to redo heavy metal or bluegrass.
