Something fishy about this instrument cluster?
Just browsing on ebay and ran across this 1984 380SE. Listed as 131K actual, but as soon as I saw the photos, I questioned it. Then I seen the photo of the speedometer cluster and it looks to me like its out of a 1980 or older S-Class. Strange, as the others look to be the original. The advertised mileage are the ones from this speedometer. I do not think they ever put this speedometer in the 81+ S-Class cars - at least I have never seen it. I am assuming that the original broke and someone installed this. ?? Any other thoughts?
Here is a link to the photo of the speedometer.... http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l11/free2sell/mike/9-13-07/DSC02549.jpg Link to the car..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1984-Mercedes-380SE-420-V8-ENGINE-Rebuilt-Transmission_W0QQitemZ140158157842QQihZ004QQcategoryZ6336QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
