Drove a new BMW 650ci Convert Today

Black metallic paint. The in-house BMW detailer (Penske owned) swirled the hell out of the paint, so we fixed it.

Drives out nice. Reminiscent of my old E55 in the power department. Feels very heavy, a boulevard cruiser. Attracts a lot of att'n, maybe too much. Dang ugly though-- another Bangle disaster.

That's the only one of his BMW designs I like. I like the coupe better, though.

I cannot stand everything Chris Bangle has brought out. What is his obsession with bustle trunks? Did his daddy drive a '79 Seville? Other than the trunk it is a nice looking car. (I saw one in the store parking lot today) However it does NOT look like a BMW. None of his cars do. Glad to hear that it is powerful.
Oh and did you play with the iDrive? I heard that is a nightmare too...

I see them everywhere, ugly as sin. The old 6 series is much nicer IMHO.

The 6 coupe isn't bad, but the convert needs help. Jeremy Clarkson made some nasty comments about the 'vert when comparing to the new Jag ragtop.

The 335i isn't bad. Those little turbos are slick and the price is tolerable.

I agree that the 3-series is the best translation of the Bangle design philosophy. The 5-series is an abomination.
