Pics and a vid of my 94 escort before I scrapped it (56k beware)
Allrighty, I bought this car for $150, because I needed a radio for my toronado, and this one had a nice pioneere... And I needed to fix my cousins car.
No brakes, the clutch went out a LONG time ago (put it in 5th at 30, and floor it... it'd slip hardcore), rusty, and it had 195k on it... It was time to go to the smelter Well, I took the good parts off it, and they're for sale... Just in case anyone here's got one of theese (91-96 escort) Rear tail lights rear reflectors (hatch and between the taillights) Rear trunk plastic Rear hatch cover with older pioneere 6x9's in it Hatch plastic Hatch struts (THEY HOLD THE HATCH STILL!!!) Heater control box Power mirrors Rearview Mirror and the nub that goes on the windshield Alternator (tested good) And... All 4 seven spoke rims, with 3 like new tires PM me if you want to buy anything. ANYWAYS yeah, here's the pics and vid COLD AIR INTAKE FTW!!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/NathanEbert/escortothercarpics001.jpg Yeah, it's a convertable http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/NathanEbert/escortothercarpics002.jpg I ran it into a tree, hoping I'd blow the airbags. NOPE, hit my freekin head though. No seatbelt FTL...roll http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/NathanEbert/escortothercarpics003.jpg Well, didnt have a grinder handy. Yes, that's an axe http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/NathanEbert/escortothercarpics004.jpg MTV, please, PIMP MY RIDE!!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/NathanEbert/escortothercarpics006.jpg Rip, 94 LX http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/NathanEbert/escortothercarpics007.jpg And, without further BS, here's the video After draining all the fluids (as required by the scrapyard), had to make sure they didnt get a good motor to crush either... http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y166/minichoppersinc/?action=view¤t=escortothercarpics016.flv Scrapped it for $147. It gave it's life to fix the heater in my cousins car, give my toronado a radio, and provide some parts for the ones out there worth driving... Still got the parts, so PLEASE dont make me throw them away. ****, I'd sell everything except the rims for friggin $50... Any quesions? Rip, my 94 Escort. Yet I had you for but only a week, you got me 4 warnings (two from the same cop), drove me around for 2 days when I didnt have another car that I could drive, and fixed my couins car. May your spirit live on in the parts you have given... Amen or something Lol, I had fun... P.S. I'm the guy with the buzz cut and glasses. I kept the basic training haircut, it's like $5 at any barber... Hope u enjoyed it ~Nate

Did that to a used up AMC Spirit back in 1990. I don't remember how much the junkyard gave me for it, but it kept my friends and I drunk for a weekend. Of course back then 5 bucks would give you a quarter tank of gas....

I had a friend that had a '93 Escort wagon. He was very hard on cars and beat the crap out of this thing, and it kept on going until he forgot to check the oil one time too many. I remember once he ran it off the road and caused the right rear tire to blow out. He drove it about 2 miles home with a flat. Of course the tire shredded and started whacking the quarter panel, causing the crash-sensing fuel pump switch to trip. I told him about it about a week before this incident, so he was lucky in that he knew to reset the switch. Should have taken a picture of this thing the day it was junked, kinda looked like your's.

Sweet. Nice Job.
You should have deployed the airbag by directly connecting it to the battery.

Abrams tank??? I'm to be a medic, not a tanker...
Yeah, it was a bummer I couldnt set the airbags off. I did think of deploying them that way though, and ripped apart the dash... Couldnt find a schematic, and ran outta time before the scapyard was going to close... I had fun, and my cousins car (my old `95) has a fully functional heater... ~Nate

Your in the Army, you just need to use the proper tools. Remember the old saying "There are very few problems in life that cannot be solved with enough C4".
