Best of Luck!! I've done several 13.1's, but haven't trained up for the big one yet.

Hope it turned out well, no wonder you didn't want to hit the Uptown scene last night. Chris and I loaded up on carbs, but not the kind conducive towards physical fitness. ;)

Dang it's done. It was HOT! I did it in 5.5 hours. Not bad considering the circumstances, the heat being just one of them. :)

Dang, Kuan, I didn't get a chance to wish you luck prior to but kudos to you for finishing. Considering I get tired driving 26.2 miles I'm pretty impressed with the 5.5 hours!

Chicago?

cscmc1 10-08-2007 10:21 AM

I take it that was Chicago? Given the heat, I am glad I waited too long to get a spot! I'll be doing the Lincoln (NE) National Guard Marathon again in the spring, but I need to work my mileage back up. Got married, she fattened me up, and my sub-4-hour marathons went extinct.

Anyway, nice job finishing in that heat. I don't think I could have done it!

Kuan 10-08-2007 11:06 AM

It was Minneapolis. We were withing 1.5 degrees of being called off. It was 87F and almost 90 percent humidity at the end. 77F at the start, quickly rose to over 80F.

cscmc1 10-08-2007 11:10 AM

That's still warm; congrats on finishing!
