Well if you make $1,000,000 a year, have $300 jeans, and Amex black card, and etc, etc. Why not?

You get that at a lot of the best stores. Mitchell's in Westport does that. One day I hope to be able to buy all my suits from Mitchells. Jack Welch used to shop their, since he lived right down the street.

Actually, that particular brand has been touted years ago as the ultimate "snob" phone, going for $5K back then.

In fact, you could get faceplates for your Nokia that made it look just like that phone!

Yeah, that's right. I've seen the Vertu phone in watch magazines. I always wondered who in their right mind would buy one of those.

Like I said to one of my professors who was talking about how wonderfull some $100 pen was. Even if I made over $1,000,000 a year I wouldn't buy one.

More money than brains comes to mind.

I can see spending $6k on a nice watch, or a suit, I'd do that; but not a cell phone. I can keep a $6k watch until I die, a $6k phone is a throw away in 18-24 months.

I think that was what my first phone cost back in 1986. Company paid for it

Of course it had 4 watts and came in its own bag with a whip antenna sticking out...

The only reason to buy a $6400 phone is so that when you are chatting up Paris Hilton and it rings she can say "cool phone, it is better than mine"
