Saw those on MotorWeek or something...gobs of torque and wicked fast! Kinda turns the typical view of an electric car as some ugly anemic ride on its end!

Those are pretty sweet. 0-60 in under 4 seconds with no conventional engine noise. It's like a super go cart.

I saw an interview with the owner of Tesla and he said they will be down to $45,000 or so in the next year. I plan on selling the Ferrari and buy one. I'm going to put a deposit down this Spring.

Do they come with a wav file of engine noise or do you just have to settle for the whine of an electric motor?

When you take delivery, make sure you watch out for blind people crossing the street!

I think what you see there is the future of day to day commuting. Sure it's sleek and fast but if you pare down the performance and price a bit and increase the utility, it's a perfect daily driver.

I've watched these guys for some time now and I believe so strongly in the product that I would go work for them if they ever opened for business on the East coast. Something else I would consider is opening a franchise service center for them. Only time will tell...
