Dog Question
Is there a way to feed the dog so it takes a crap at a regular time?

I think fatty table scraps are disruptive to regularity.
But as long as you feed them a moderate amount of food and regulate their access to craping opportunity (via crate...) they should eventually come around.

Allow me to preface this by assuming you WALK the dog, rather than allowing it to roam about an enclosed yard. Regularity.....Dogs are,if nothing else, creatures of habit. My 2 pit-bulls crap exactly within a 20 minute window after their meals. However several variables may interfere with this.If the dogs indulge in puppy-like running and playing the elimination time will be all the sooner, equally so if you do not adhere rigidly to a feeding schedule and feed them table scraps. Empirical observation Sport, just like with a kid. |

Control the food. Feed them say twice a day. One hour later, take them for a walk. That is what I do.

What everyone else said.
Dogs are creatures of habit. They like to follow the same schedule everyday. Feed them the same food at the same time everyday, and they will eliminate at the same time. It is a schedule that is repeatable and predictable.

If you take the dog out at a specific time for it, he/she will go then.

^^^ Works for our dogs.
For house rabbits wait for them to poop and then scoop the poop into a litter box left at that original location. Since their poop is the size and shape of 00 buckshot, scooping is easy and clean. Rabbits return to the litter box to poop. If the location is not ideal then over the course of several days move it slowly through the house to the location you'd prefer. We had rabbits and cats that lived under the same roof and never had a problem. The trick is to have well-fed cats and hungry rabbits. I don't think dogs would be as uh, ... tolerant of rabbits. Our dogs think rabbits are fast food. B |

A guy named Pavlov wrote this book...high fiber and take it for a walk at the same time every day, dogs like routines.

Dogs seem to always have just a little pee in their bladders, wonder why that is?
