Looking To Trade part of the Collection

I've been thinking about this for a while and it's time once again to thin the herd. I really want a G Wagon and before trying to sell, I'm putting out feelers for a trade in all or part. Of course, I want one in good shape...preferably black. Below is what I have to trade/sell. Of course, if here is any interest, I will post detailed specs on each. I think most of you pretty much know these cars already. All in excellent condition and well maintained. Take a look and if you have a G Wagon for trade, give me a shout. Thanks, KM

No, the Ferrari isn't on the block at this time. Once again, if there is any interest, I'll post more details and pics. I'm located in the Washington, DC Metro Area.

PowerPig- Don't let Dee8go see the SEC up for bid, he just bought your old diesel wagon!

Yea, he told me about it today. That's a really good wagon! I'm looking more to trade than sell. I really want a G Wagon and the spousal unit wants some of them gone!

Jeezaloo, you'd think buying the jag for her would be enough...

Black G500, found it for you.

Kevin, did you know that Justinwrock (W124.090) out here near Sacramento has EAXACTLY the car you want. Only thing is, it is not for sale that I know of.

I have seen his 300TE and his ML, so I can tell you, for sure, his cars are as good as yours. This family loves Mercedes, but does NOT buy them brand new, but gets very very good ones and REALLY lokks after them.

They also are enthusiasts like you are, it is kind of a family hobby, and actually they do get newer cars every now and then (though not as often as you.) Their stable is REALLY nice.

Maybe he can be tempted to trade for one of your beauties, but for sure, they haven't had the G wagen THAT long.

On another note, I had dinner with Ernesto (BENZ-LGB) and Carl (cmac2012) just the other day, and as you know, Ernesto's mint signal red '91 300CE was totalled out in a horrendous rear ender on 10/10, and so he is actively looking for a replacement for that car.

Your '92 CE Sportline would be the PERFECT replacement - but for the fact that he really, really wants a RED coupe.

Except for the color, the car would be exactly the right fit for him. Sportlines are the ne plus ultra of those coupes. Maybe you could talk to him. He would be a good guy to give the car a good new home, he is very fussy about the condition of the car, and he knows the CE models well. I told him to try and swap the euro lights out of it he put in it, before the Insurance company tows the wreck away from his driveway, it is officially totalled and the price settled. He is a ready buyer.

And, as we know, your cars are perfect. I would buy one of yours sight unseen, not PPI needed, just knowing you were its keeper. Nothing further in the way of questions would be needed.

Thanks for the heads up and kind words Jim. I'll contact the parties mentioned and maybe we can all work a deal that makes us all happy! KM

Okay, well if that doesn't work out for you. I still want your SEC. I've actually got plenty of dough in my car fund, I've just been trying to conserve cash until I saw how the new gig works out. I'll let you know in a few weeks . . .

There is a 560 sec locally for sale with that color and those wheels. The bottom of the car is not black though.

i really like those wheels on the sec.

I know a little bit about that SEC. And I have to say, it is a real beauty.

Kevin is very picky about his cars, and that one is very nice. Look especially at the gorgeous wood/leather steering wheel, the upgraded stereo, and those drop dead beautiful AMG rims on it.

Those wisely chosen upgrades easily comprise about $1500-$2000 worth of REALLY good accessories, and really good ones, right there.

The car was purchased not that long ago (within a year and a half) in Los Angeles, so that makes it a Southern California one, almost certainly 100% rust free, and it's in an appealing color, too (Champagne metallic). Total accumulated mileage is also very reasonable for the year of the car.

Also the desirable post 1986 2nd generation car. Put a set of euro lights, and a trunk triangle, and Weathertech floormats, and it would be almost perfect, in my opinion. A fine car indeed. Kevin only has the best ones around. And it is not a distress sale or anything, and you know the seller already and he can be trusted completely.

kevin- found a good 450SL body if you're interested, it's got a 560 drivetrain in it now that I could use....
