I'd love to unload in their exit interview too but, in all honesty, if they didn't listen when I was on the payroll, what makes me think anything will change with a friendly visit on the way out?

Burning bridges sounds fun but you never know what you're going to come up against in the future.
I always thought exit interviews were a waste of time, as you mentioned if they didin't listen when you where there, what makes you think they will listen when you leave? Who needs an exit interview when you have The Forum?

Can the forum answer questions about COBRA, your vested retirement, etc, etc?

You're exactly right, Randy. There were certainly a lot of things I wanted to say and do when I left my old job. In the end I decided I had too much class to leave like that.

Christmas came early today...

Bride discovered that I can be added to her city retirement health insurance w/o exemptions. Price is reasonable ($267/mo for me) and it's portable too. My health care insurance was the single biggest thing keeping me from leaving this day job.

Like I said before, I'm giving notice the moment I recieve my bonus (mid December) and going into the ditch digging, cow growing and maybe even the poodle trimming business - full time. Anything but sitting here listening to these toadys and trying to keep my head above their manipulative bull*****.

It's all but done.

You're right, Mistress. In my case talking to the owner of ther company was as effective as talking to the wall both during my employment and when I was leaving. In my case they stillowe me a lot of money and I didn't want to give them any justification for not paying it to me.

Is being a "fluffer" an option for you?

Nope...I don't jump that fence. Anyway, Bride and I have a single user license agreement.

Hey Kuan, You got $5 out of it!

Kuan was my car runner for half the day.

One of my main workers quit, which was okay as I have a replacement already trained in. Much better worker. Plus, another guy didn't come in until 3pm. Apparently his daugher got a DUI last night and had to bail her out. ?? I dunno.

Hubert Humphrey's grandson (my old school mate) is bringing in his rig tomorrow. Talk about connections.

Kuan didn't get to drive any cool cars. Bad day for that. We'll get an M3 here and there, an NSX, old GTO, tricked out Infiniti G35- not in the cards today.

** I don't think Kuan will ever come back.

Don't put a job you held for 4 hours on your resume. Don't even think twice about it. No one will ever discover it.

Well, at this point, he is committed already. Best thing to do is STFU and hope nobody finds out. Hopefully he won't slip up and say "Oh, that place sucks to work at......".

Ever is a long time. The odds might be in his favor but saying that nobody will every discover it is another thing. It is UNLIKELY that he will ever be found out unless he makes an oopsie but it is NOT impossible that he is found out. With the internet that Al Gore created or invented or whatever, many things are open to discovery.

I think the standard is anything under 90 days you don't need to mention, but you may have a hard time explaining the gap in employment.

Freedom is nice isn't it? I quit my last job 2 days after I got my annual "raise." More like a pay cut since it was less than inflation. They were surprised...especially when I told them I didn't have another job yet...I was just tired of the BS from my bosses (yes, plural) Felt a lot like Office Space, but more personal.
