Thirsty Thursday? I did not know that. Well, I guess I'll have to open that bottle of MacCallans and have a wee dram of it with my La Aroma de Cuba robusto. Yeah, I think that's what I'll do.

Thirsty Thursday was huge in my college years. Nickel Nites at all the bars way back when you could still do that in the early 90's. Those were the days! At least from what I can remember

Nickel's in the 90's! I thought my quarters in the 80's were a good deal.

My freshman year at UConn it was ranked the #1 Party School by Playboy. Thursday nights really were out of hand with nickel drafts (of $h!t beer but who cared), shots (of generic booze) and mystery punch. Free pizza and nachos about everywhere. That pretty much started the crackdown on binge drinking and the end of cheap alcohol nights.

BAR had draft for $1!!!! I got so trashed last night today was totaly shot. I didn't get home until sometime after 3 or near 4 forget. Passed out and slept to 11am!!

Talked to some hot girls, avoided getting rapped by a fat girl! Even beer glasses didn't make me want her. Tried picking up hot girl, but got shot down.

$1 drafts and $2 slices of BAR pizza go down real easy.

Hmm, debating between going out tonight after work in 15 minutes or going home and waking up early and detailing the driver Volvo 244 after running.

Thirsty Thursday is a Eugene thing . When my mom was going to U of O, she was always telling me stories of how all the other grad students always went out to drink. I guess it has to do with no classes at all on Fridays at the U of O. I know Thursday was a big drinking night at my college, but we still had classes on Friday....

One of the surgeons who works with us is leaving, so I am very sad. I'll go home and toast his good success with a glass of scotch, if I didn't pour it all out.

That's not funny. Don't joke about dumping good scotch out.

My option is Victory Prima Pils or 18 yo Macallan. My town is holding a "Beer Fest" this weekend as a bonus.

Never heard of Thursty Thursday but I guess I got it right and started a little early. Went to one of the production plants today and went out for fresh ceviche and beer(s) for lunch.
