Just toss in a handfull of moth balls in the tank. Save the custom machining for the rebuild.

I'd like to see it tested. I find it hard to imagin some of the big auto companies have not already run this through there R&D departments.

I agree with the big auto company line of thought- but then again I believe in the "my lure" logic. I've found over many years that if you trying to catch a fish on a boat people will ignore and not use the lure that catches fish, and instead use the lure that they brought. They want "my lure" to catch the fish to the point of not catching fish with someone else's lure. It's the same logic as "my idea" vs. "the idea". Most people fall into one or the other camps. "My idea" people want "my idea" to be the one used. "The idea" people think that there is an idea of how things are or done, and you come up with improvements to "the idea"- and if you have come up with a true improvement to "the idea" then "the idea" has just evolved one more step. If change to "the idea" is not better than "the idea" stays the same. I believe car companies work under the "my idea" camp by in large.

Well put.

Their are so many different cylinder head designs, it may work on one, and not on others.
