Free Tacos Today-Thanks Jacoby!

It's easy to argue the quality and even the health impact, but hey, it's free taco day today at Taco Bell!

Jacoby Ellsbury Steals a Base, Steals Tacos for America

Stolen Base in 4th Inning During Game Two of 2007 MLB® World Series®Garners Free Taco for America From Taco Bell®

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stolen Base, Stolen Tacos. In the bottom of the 4th inning of Game Two at the Major League Baseball World Series in Boston, Boston Red Sox centerfielder Jacoby Ellsbury stole second base and became the first ever Major League Baseball player to steal millions of tacos for America. As promised, Taco Bell®, the Official Quick Service Restaurant of Major League Baseball, is prepared to serve millions of Americans a free Seasoned Beef Crunchy Taco as part of its “Steal A Base, Steal A Taco” MLB World Series promotion.

Fans can visit any participating Taco Bell on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (local time) and claim their free taco.
“We were cheering alongside the entire nation, knowing someone would steal a taco for America,” said David Ovens, chief marketing officer, Taco Bell Corp. “While some are fans of the long ball and others might enjoy a pitcher’s duel, we can now safely say that everyone is a fan of the stolen base.”

Always known to “Think Outside the Bun,” Taco Bell creatively partnered with Major League Baseball on its “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” promotion. The company is famously remembered for its “Free Taco Targets” which it has previously placed at the World Series.
