Why they never die.......
After a few choice beverages (Yuengling Lord Chesterfield Ale) I sat with the garage door open admiring my car. I sat and began to think what a great car this is but then my mind began to wander. I began to think about what I need to do to the car. Normal maintenance, you know, thing that you KNOW your car needs to be perfect. At what point would you have given up on any other car?
There is something special about a Mercedes-Benz. I'm not buying into all the hype, I mean it. It isn't about anything else but true satisfaction in your vehicle. Some people buy a car for an "A to B". What the hell kind of fun is that? I want a vehicle that suits my needs both physical and emotional. How many of you are out there? Something you can drive and take pride in. Gentlemen, they never die because we are who we are. Yours sincerely, Beverage laden POT

I understand your pride/love/obsession. Once you see how a well made vehicle responds to TLC, it sucks you in. I just adjusted my steering box and the test drive afterward was satisfying on multiple levels.
Good choice on the beverage. I usually go for the Lager myself (or a homebrew). Back in college I did an advertising campaign pitch as a class project to Mr. Yuengling with 3 other guys. They incorporated some of our ideas. We got to tour the brewery and see behind the scenes. We also sampled every beer they make for free. This was just before they started putting black & tan in cans. We saw the canning line before it was up for production runs. Sorry to go on.

Outside of BMWs and Mercedes-Benz cars and trucks, the others are substandard mechanical transportation forms. IMO.
On the Sixth day, God created Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Women, and Beer.........not necessarily in that order........ Last edited by Skid Row Joe; 10-31-2007 at 01:22 AM. |

Sounds like me. I spend a LOT of nights in the garage fawning over the Benzes. Usually with the Sirius on to the country oldies or regular oldies.

Its a lot of fun spending money on these. They are kind of like boats, cheaper more wallet friendly boats.

Here Here I'll drink to that! There is something special about them. Especially the older ones....I know my mechanic thinks there are days I need to take the bus because I freak when anything goes wrong with her...but I do love driving that car.
