$1 Per Pound? That's a Rip Off!

Mich Dentist Buying Halloween Treats

Here's how the plan works: You score big on Halloween night and, after sorting through the stuff you can't live without, bring the rest to Flood's office at 4990 Cascade Road SE the next day from 2 to 5 p.m.

An office assistant will weigh your take and send you off with a crisp Washington for every pound you turn in.

You'd think a dentist would encourage halloween treats due to the extra cavity business.

I'm sure the candy goes straight to the dumpster, and he gets much free publicity for a few hundred dollars of outlay.

Can you imagine the liability if he anything with that candy?

According to the article, the candy is recycled for art projects, probably gingerbread houses.

They are doing the same program here in Omaha, but the candy will be shipped off to the troops in harms way. The kids get the $ and the troops get the candy. The dentist foots the bill to ship it and gets on the news. Win Win situation
