The Maybach is what the W220 SHOULD have been (sans the overpriced gadgets).
The W140 is the ultimate Mercedes-Benz, last of the best design at cost no object philosophy from the first automaker in the world. The W221 is not bad, although it is just trying to justify all the mistakes made with W220.

That's all the Maybach is now, just a Mercedes. It fails to represent a single gram of greatness of what the former German automaker originally was.

The Maybach is freaken sweet!
Its just the latest of MB uber sedans, like the old 600's. Actualy inflation adjusted the Maybach costs more than the 600's did new. They are amazingly fast for a limo.You have to remember what the Maybach is, its not like a Rolls Royce, and isn't ment to compete with them. The Maybach is a car designed to impress the people who can actualy afford them, period. As for ultimate MB, I'd have to say the Zonda F. Its a MB at heart! Or the 500K's of course, hard to top them.
