Unhappy injury stories

well,i just experienced a spontaneous pnuemothorax.........or, a spontaneous collapsed lung.....NOT FUN IN THE LEAST !!! i was just watching t.v. and out of the blue it felt like i was punched in the chest and could'nt breathe....turns out i had a blister[ bleb] since birth and when they burst they collapse your lung......i'm glad i know now that that happens sometimes to people...now at least, because before now i never even heard of a collapsed lung outside of an injury induced one... the attachment is of the chest tube i have to wear for a week....if it has'nt healed by then i'll have surgerythis type of collapse is the worst sort. after a few minutes the pain diminished and i began to just believe it was gas pains and i almost talked myself and my wife out of going to the hospital.on the way there i began to take a little nap because i began to feel abit better, little did i know that because my entire right lung was flat as a pancake i was'nt getting enough oxygen causing me to feel sleepy.in essence ,,shutting down had my wife not persisted,i believe i would'nt be here right now. i even told the e.r. doctor i had figure dout it was bad gas pressure and if he would just give me some hospital grade gas medication and he just sorta smiles and said o.k. yeah, how bout' some mallox...turns out he already knew what was wrong with me,just kept the presence of mind to not worry me......if you have'nt had a c.t. scan,,think about getting one if you can......i'm 30 years old....i should'nt have to deal with something like this. as well, in all honesty i have done alot to contribute to it by drinking 10 cups of espresso a day and smoking 2 packs a day of B&H 100'S...........on a sort of higher note,,i just bought a 1997 ford crown victoria with a police interceptor v-8 for a daily driver for only $700.00 from afriend who is moving to upstate new york. i have'nt picked it up yet as i just found out about it and eft'ed the cash last night, but once i get it in a couple days or so,i'll add the pic. it's obviously not an impressive vehicle so much as just such a great deal. the only blemish,if you will is a small piece of door trim,i'll get that at pull apart. also,it's cop car white and was at first a cop car,but her husband replaced the old engine with a new one.....low book value for it is around 1700,,,i would class this as a definite medium vale at 2700,,,so either way i got alot better deal,,,also, i do believe the merced. willbe out of commission for awhile to give her some good p.m. and make her the once a month driver type so as to in the long run justify 30 grand.............................anyway,let's all share a good old fashioned DAMN THAT'S GOTTA HURT story !!!

Eeewww!
Never too young to have wierd health disasters. Had my first angioplasty at "only" 39, 11 years ago. My second last July. Can hardly wait to see what the next 11 years brings me!

update

woo-hoo.....this is fun guys, gotta tell ya'...........not really. went to the dr. again to have it checked out yesterday. i'm still "blowing bubbles"......[a test using just a cup of water and tensing up]....if it has'nt stopped by thursday i'll be going in for surgery to have the hole in my lung stapled,i'm electing for that as opposed to both keeping this chestube for many more weeks and to eliminate the risk of it happening again.............which will mean on thanksgiving,if i'm in the hospital.........well, my in-laws are going to show up,and everyone else connected to them family wise....tha's just how they are........i tell ya' it sounds like i'm complaining but i can't....it's just funny being fawned over.....my in-laws are great.........and i got my crown vic. last night.......i only drove it a few miles... but, the steering feels REALLLL loose. different from the 190 in every way and of course it should, ha-ha.......thanks for the get wells guys !!
