History of Armored W126
Greetings friends.
I come to you kindly asking for advice. Could someone please point me in the right direction for reading up on the history of the Armored W126 (Sonderschutz). I'm mainly trying to figure out how many were built. And then, as a follow up, I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of restoration of such grand vehicles. Thank you and i'll take my answer off the air.

yeah, i'm in the DC area. and i tried that. i called the one in cali a lot, actually. they just kept on saying they'll call me back and putting me through to some manager. i tried calling them literally every week for a couple of months a year ago. Alas, i quit. they just didn't seem interested in even discussing anything.

Were those factory armored cars or were they modified by 3rd party?
