Bullitt Fans

Okay, if you have $32K and a turtleneck sweater, in 2008 you might consider chasing after those new Dodge Chargers in San Francisco in this:

4.6L V-8, 315 BHP, Ford Special "Bullitt" Edition, 7,700 to be made.

You never saw the movie?

Chalmers was the smarmy politician who was Bullitt's nemesis in the movie who kept ragging on him to produce the hidden witness. He was played by Robert Vaughn (aka "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." on tv)

Yeah he did. Moreover, when he was in SF on vacation a couple of months ago, we did a drive by so he could see Bullitt's apartment and the store where he shopped for food, at Clay and Taylor.

Chad McQueen at the wheel.

Yeah, alot of the car mag's (Motor Trend, ect) have done write-ups on that model. So-so responses. Ford coulda done a bit better with it. As usual.
But if someone forced me to drive one, I'd give in;):D

I like the looks of it!

I remember reading the background on the chase. The Mustang, thanks to its Falcon roots, was a sum***** to keep in shape due to the rigors of the chase. The Charger, built when Chrysler still had a few engineers on staff, held up much better. Also the 440 Charger R/T had little problem running away from the Mustang 390.

I bet that if the chase was rerun today with 2008 iterations of these vehicles, the result would be the same.

Also with no spoiler, no foglights, probably some throwback interior, and last body style's Bullitt rims. I agree, I'll pass as well.
Besides, I like the convertible version.
