If the purchase price doesn't kill you, the maintenance will.

You and all of your friends don't have enough money to maintain one of these Pullman 600's. I saw one in the Shiek's garage in Abu Dahbi in 1988. It was squatting on the floor like a dead duck because they couldn't find parts for the air over oil suspension system.

The ad mentions that the engine is a 6 cyl. It is a 6.3 or 6.9 V-8 I believe.

You certainly believe correctly. 6.3 liters. Cast Iron. Fuel injector. Nothing else. Damn morons*!

Its air bags only no oil. And the bags are easy to find and are cheap (relatively). Standard 6.3 stuff. There are parts that will kill you IF you had to buy them, like hydraulic switches. But they can be rebuilt.

Don't get me wrong, its not a car for the faint hearted, its just not going to be 10x worse than any car of that age. I would say less than 2x the hassle of a regular 6.3, as long as everything is in good order when you buy it.

Just don't get taken by shops that claim to know what they are doing. An unamed "expert" on 6.3's recently swindled a M100 officer for a ton of cash, and they were buddies!

I actually think that car is hideous. I know, i know, it took me by surprise as well, but for some reason the huge square windows in the middle just ruin the car for me.

If I had an oil well in the backyard I'd buy it. (to both fuel and fund it)

That's why I won't bid - I'll be the only one then I'll have a $130K bill and be $130K short.

I don't need to maintain it. I'll be happy to have it in my living room (I think it'll just fit) and sleep in it when my wife kicks me out of our room. But I married her, and not any of you , because she appreciates something as fine as a 600 LWB.

I think it ends a couple of minutes after I post this reply

I don't want a hacked up Lincoln. The Swede will tell you I have as much taste as to appreciate a late 60s series 75 Caddy.
