Joe, I've got a little experience with car shows (my regular Impala club meeting every week in Tampa draws a minimum of 5 cars but upwards of 20...EVERY week. I've got lots of ideas.

April sounds good to me. If we do a spring GTG it shouldn't be less than 4-5 months away from this one. That way everyone will be able to make plans, get cars ready, get other people motivated...

Um...lets just say that there are several Mercedesshop badges were kept safe from road debris...yeah, bonehead move on my part...I bought 2 and left BOTH at home! In my defense though, nobody would have seen it with my grille aimed at the heavens.

I know of a nice little 280CE that could use a few tweaks...

RATS!!!! I know I should've gone. Larry asked me and I told him I really didn't feel like sitting in the car for the drive.

Looks like it was a swell time. Larry said the food was awesome just like last time as well.

The first one we had was in August and it was sweltering. This was much more tolerable.

I will make it to the next one fo' sho'.

I'm heartbroken

I just realized that if the paperwork goes through and I get approved, this time next year I will be in Germany and it would be quite out of my price range to bring the car back

ETA: Maybe I will come back and buy another Mercedes just to bring to the GTG! I have been telling my Dad for months he needs to get on the veg train

Have not looked at the $50 paint job, HAVE, however, just changed my tie rods...center link...steering dampner... last night as a matter of fact.

Didn't have the time to by the parts from schuman this time, but next time I plan to... I guess if I can get it aligned now, my next purchase will be the shut off on the back of the injection pump If I can't get it aligned... it's probably because of the control arm bushings.. and they will be next. After those two I think we will be hunting oil leaks!

I wonder if my wife is the hot redhead? I can post some pictures of her I will be sure to get one right when she wakes up this morning! I can't recall any other redheads... but I stayed pretty busy

Thanks to all

What a Great Weekend. The location, weather, food, cars and most importantly the people really made this a memorable moment for my wife and myself. I would like to thank Joe, Mark and Christine for putting on a fantastic event. Not to forget Shuman (spelling?) Automotive. Only four veggies were there but interesting that all four used different methods.
Count me in on all upcoming GTG but preferably on Saturday so those of us that make the long haul from So. Fla can stay and party with the rest of you ANIMALS. Elke thanks for all the pix. It was quite suprising to see the variety of age groups that share such a passion for Mercedes and most of all THEIR mercedes.

Though finding such an ideal location would be a challenge perhaps looking into the possibility of having a first ever So. Fla GTG would be worthwhile.

hatt asked if that was my C123- I think you were referring to James' 280CE, he has the same wheels on it I used to have on mine. Still looks sweet though Looks like you guys all had better weather than we did that day for our GTG, everyone up here stayed in the house!

Let's put some names to faces howboutit?
