Looked at new Saab's today

My friend is looking to get an SUV so he wanted to check out the Saab SUV thing. Its pretty nice, but expensive. Anyway I looked at the 9-3 sedan, its pretty damn nice! Dealer said I could get a leftover 07 for like $24k. They also offer one heck of a warranty. Bumper to bumper, for 6 years or 100k miles. They include maintaince, the only thing you have to pay for are wear items, like tires, brakes ect.

When I get serious I need to drive one, I'm not sure if I will like the 2.0T 4 banger. I hate VW's 1.8T and this sounds kind of similer. Its also FWD which I hate.

But I think the new C looks better, and its RWD which is important.

Get a wagon....if you do. I had a the first year of the SAAB turbo's- the 1978 99 turbo. Loved it when it ran. Dad bought the new engine cause the first one blew up when I got it up to 120 going to Omaha.... No more SAaB's after that, lol. Your right the new "C" looks great.

The new "C" looks too much like a Sebring.
Get the Saab.

The new Accord ripped on the C real bad, Honda loves to copy MB.

I'd get the sedan I'm to young for a wagon. When I have 2-3 kids and I need a car for the wife its wagon time.

Hatt I'd take a look at a couple-year-old 9-5. The depreciation on a new Saab is such that you can pick up a 2004-06 9-5 Aero for a little bit 'o nuthin.

To me, the 9-5 is a much nicer car and has a good reliability/durability record.

The early (2003-04) 9-3s were plagued with all kinds of problems but the more recent ones are fine judging from what I know.

Check out www.iqautos.com. The owner is a great guy and always has a HUGE selection of used Saabs.

Yeah I could get an 04 for $15k. Thats probably what I will do, let the first person pay for the depreciation.

Jeep's are junk, they leak like crazy and are pretty cheap. If you must buy new and dump before the warranty expires.

If money were no object he would get a Range Rover Sport, which IMHO is the best SUV on the market now for any money. But at $75k they are a bit expensive.

Why are Jeeps "junk?" I thought you might have an answer, but I guess not.

The only true off roader are the G Wagen and Toyota Land Cruiser, everything else is either a pretender or not worth taking off road.

The 2008 Accord doesn't look like the C, at least to me but I like the looks of C class over the Accord.

The Saab 9-7X........your joking right?

You do know the Saab 9-7x is a chevy trailblazer.

So your friend wants to overpay for a p.o.s. GM just to have the name Saab printed on the front?
And you comment on the jeeps quality.....hah......

I haven't driven one lately, but the Saabs I sat in at the auto shows had cheap looking unattractive interiors, except for the seats which seemed nice.
