I wouldn't feel comfortable with an Israeli soldier as well who has to get Rabbi's permission from Israel to fight for the Goyim.

Why? He is an Israeli soldier. I was talking about our US servicemen who are moslem who had to get permission. If I had to sit next to him in that theater, I'd find another foxhole.

We should define "winning" a war. What does that mean? In the old days, that meant vanquishing your enemy and taking his land and possessions. Thats not the case today. Winning in the modern world requires removing a "threat", without killing any innocent people and loosing any of your own troops. Thats not war, its a political police action.

Winning a war should mean the total destruction of your enemy. It should also be the last possible resort. The US could win the ANY war with this definition. We could totally annihilate any opposition on this planet. The US public and the rest of the world wouldn't care for it much.

My way is to leave nobody to apologize to.

Scorched earth is an excllent policy, it has yet to fail. Kill them all and let God sort them out.

I thought scorched earth is more of a policy of denial? Where you retreat but destroy crops, poison wells, burn down houses, etc, etc so the enemy has nothing that they can use? What you are talking about is total annihilation.

I dunno, it didn't work for WW2 Germany. If enough people get wind of it, the ongoing scorched earth campaign that is, and determine that they want to put a stop to it, scorched earth can backfire in a big way.

Sure. Then price out what it takes to raise him and send him the bill. Include your time and other expenses and ask him, like Dad did in Calvin and Hobbs, is that a "gift or a loan"?
