Post How Many of These Ridiculous "Disorders" Do YOU Suffer From?

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2007/12/8/how-many-of-these-ridiculous-quot-disorders-quot-do-you-suffer-from.aspx

Normal Human Experience Now Masqueraded as “Disorders”

Do you have difficulty sleeping after drinking coffee? The problem isn’t a product of your poor judgment in guzzling java immediately before retiring. You are a victim of 292.89 -- Caffeine-Induced Sleep Disorder F15.8. If you reflect on your shyness while tossing and turning, the problem could be the epidemic of 300.23 -- Social Phobia F40.1. Don’t worry. Drug treatment is available.

Increasingly, people seem to be having difficulty living with the results of poor lifestyle choices. It seems like a result of poor parenting more than "disorders."

Lists of symptoms are labeled with a code by insurance companies. If a pharmaceutical company can get one of their poisons approved to treat a code they are riding the gravy train. You can read about this quite a lot.

If a patent runs out on a drug they get it approved to treat another code, and get a new name and new patent for the drug. Of course it gets a new price too, a higher price. When you hear about a new disorder that you never heard of before it is probably a fabrication by the pharm companies marketing division.

The really sick part of this is that much of the treatment is to allow people to further abuse themselves with excesses of various natures.

Yep, get people sick and then charge them for a cure which will eventually bring in another ailment is the name of the game. There is a new industry as well, the so-called prevention industry where they sell paranoia to prevent the so called fictitious diseases from afflicting one. You should see what they charge for the vitamins etc. Most done through good old MLM.

Nothing I do wrong is really MY fault. I can't help myself. The devil made me do it (remember that?), I have a disorder. I have bad genes. Company from out of town came in unexpectedly (J Belushi in The Blues Brothers), I have bad jeans . . .

Whatever the hell I did wrong CERTAINLY is not MY fault, so don't blame ME! Just give me a pill. I'll be okay . . .

But if not, you just flushed millions down the toilet. Also, if a drug is introduced and dies before it can make money, well, money down the toilet. It isn't all that easy. Money is also spent on marketing which includes wining and dining and presenting a drug. Today, for one illness, there are several options which makes it hard too. Take ED for instance, you have Viagra, Levitra and Cialis. They have to fight between each other for the sales. Are they making money? Yes, or you won't have any drugs. Is it always a gravy train? I don't think so. Especially not in this country where you have a lot of litigation. Sometimes that train does get derailed.

Easily a half dozen. Throw my 10yoS who acts like boys used to act and you can imagine the attempts to throw labels around by the aforementioned mindfaulks.

They are trying to get everyone on a drug. Even if I am sick I will wait until I am half dead to pop an Advil. I don't want that crap in my system.

Alchohol cures most of my problems, it was good enough for generations before us, its good enough for me.

I think it is more of the parents who want their kids on drugs. That way, it is a legal sedation. Sure beats the alternative. If you discipline the kids via spanking, you get arrested. Scolding them sometimes doesn't work. Sometimes, the parents are sucky parents and the mindfawks will not want to lose a customer by telling the parents what they are. Give a drug and all the world is happy. As to waiting till you are half dead to take an advil, if that is a physical issue, diagnose it first before throwing drugs at it. Once you know what it is, you can mask the pain. I won't take a T3, Oxycontin, MS Contin, etc, etc BEFORE I know what is causing the pain. After I know, I take the appropriate drug. Otherwise, if you mask the pain or don't get treatment, you might drag it out too long and you might have to do something more drastic or it might be unfixable.

So was not having a car or the modern conveniences. How did you pick this one and not the others?

Well I'm not popping pills when I get a cold, like most people seem to. I'll sneeze and cough it will be gone in a day or so. Maybe why thats why I get sick so much less then everyone else around me...
