What are you asking for her AS IS?

I love me an older ALfa.

Throw some numbers out there and a location, you never know.....

Sell as-is. You will not likely recover the cost of a quality repaint at sale.

I looked for an explanation of the difference between porsche and borg warner type synchros. Can you point me toward a place to look?

I've decided I'm not going to sell it unfinished.

I think I can do the brakes, tranny and syncro and sell it without excusing anything. I hate having to excuse parts missing or not working...allows the buyer leverage.

I think it would sell okay if it was a complete driver.

The Audi threw a t/belt...I have another complete head for it.

There's not very much I could find thru Google. Here's the only detailed illustrated description I found. Page 302 has the B-W or balk ring synchro, 303 has the Porsche or servo type synchro.

Thanks, Chas. I can't really say I understood the difference except apparently the porsche type is more compact.

Porsche type is quite expensive to manufacture compared to B-W. Even Porsche has switched to B-W synchros for some if not all of their trans.
