Your feelings regarding cock-a-roaches?

In light of recent events I wondered what your feelings about cockroaches are.

Please, talk amongst yourselves . . .:D

I have been told that after all of mankind is long gone,,,cockroaches will still be around.

One can live for a year on the residue left in an empty Coke can.

They are pretty hearty survivalists. They really don't get the respect they deserve I guess. Shoot, with the skills a cockroach possesses, they could be in the Green Berets or the Seals . . .
Hell, they could probably even survive, even thrive in the ghetto . . . oh, never mind.

Las Cucarachas

You know how Punxatawney, PA, has Phil the groundhog?

In The Swamp, we have Big Cockroach. He comes out of the wall on August 2, and if he sees his shadow before somebody steps on him, we'll have six more weeks of summer. . . .
.

Don't worry--they just like to hear themselves talk. Just don't respond them and they will go away.

Incidentialy, were you aware that at the Citidel, they have Palmetto Bug (very large roaches) races during first year and you have eat your bug unless it wins the race. Its a pretty funny party.

Good preparation for survival school later on, I guess. I used to want to go there when I was a kid. Thought it would be cool, living in a fort . . .

Sounds like Michael Vick must have gotten involved when they wrote those rules! :D

Excellent source of protein but Bot would know that and since he's not here to extrapolate (oh oh 25.00 word) we will have to wait until his return. Speaking of Palmetto Bugs, raised in Fla, those sum bit*&es were so big they had wings on them and actually were pretty aerodynamic.

Did you guys used to send messages via Carrier Palmettos?

No, we used UP Roaches. Actually I prefer my roaches smoked.

Dee8go 12-13-2007 03:21 PM

Oh, God. Now you're making my mouth water. Ummm, smoked roaches . . . .

Dee8go might will like to hear this (?)

After the apocalypse, I think there would be only two things left.
Cocroaches and Mercedes Benz W123 diesels.

Both of them are tough, you can't kill them, and they can survive and prosper anywhere, where nothing else could.

What I find disturbing, however, is picturing the idea of giant, mutant cockroaches driving around everywhere in Mercedes Benz W123 diesels.
