DSLR Camera Buying advice???
I've narrowed my choices down on a DSLR to either a Nikon D40 (which I bought and returned one an hour later, last summer) or a Pentax K100D or a Pentax K10D, or possibly a Nikon D80 if I can find a good deal on one. At this point the K10D looks like the best camera, because of all seals so it is rain tight. The other nice thing about the Pentax DSLR's aren't sold at Wal-Mart. However the D40 is light weight, and can take very good pictures for being such a cheap camera, but is very limited on lenses.
Am I making a good decision on going with the Pentax K10D? Or should I go cheap with a K100D or D40?

The biggest thing to consider is the quality of the lens. Without a good lens, the rest of the camera is irrelevant.
You can find more good quality lenses for a Nikon than for anything else. |

I know that there are many Nikon lenses, but only a select few will work right with the D40, the Pentax will use almost any lens produces for a Pentax. I thought I saw somewhere that the glass in the Pentax is up there with the glass used in the Leica's. A Leica would be my first choice for a camera, but way out of my price range...
