Pete Rose was a neighbor of mine for about 7 years in the late 70's and early 80's, our back yards backed onto each other. In all that time he never even came out and introduced himself to the adults or kids, nobody ever met the guy. His house was not well kept at all, and his kids were ill-mannered little hillbillies. He did drive a Porsche 930 and his then-wife Carolyn(spelling?) had a 2 tone RR Silver Shadow...money but ZERO class.

Mickey Mantle was the across the street neighbor of friends of mine here years ago. No big shakes when many famous people are neighbors........no better than the average, in many cases. Sometimes worse. Jack Nicholson rented a home for $10K per month for 3 months, two blocks from us in Omaha when doing a movie. Again, no big shakes......didn't change the neighborhood at all. These famous people usually keep to themselves when they're home anyway.
