Looking for a CHEAP suit...

Hey,

I'm looking for a cheap, double breasted, solid black suit with 8 buttons for a character I'm doing. I've checked out all the regular sources like mens warehouse, etc... Are there any others you all are aware of? I'd like to spend less than $100 as I'm going to have to have it altered.

I need a 44R jacket and 34x34 pants.

Thanks!

The local professional theatre here trolls goodwill and the salvation army for costumes. I have given $700-$1000 suits to them over the years that may have had a moth hole or cigarette burn in an obscure place and they sell them for say $10. I also buy my suit for an annual Pimps & 'Hos party at goodwill:D

Forgot where you were--there also was a consignment shop in downtown Burlington some years back that had nice stuff. My check there if you have a reason to be in town. It is/was opposite the library near what used to be called Roche Biomed hq.

Thanks, that's a good suggestion. Here's an ebay item - almost exactly what I'm looking for but I don't want the pinstripes...

Check out a consignment shop. We have a number that popped up around here, fairly affluent suburbs make for some nice offerings.

I pick up a lot of slacks and dress shirts at one for work since I need to be business casual but still have to work on a machine or truck if a problem arises. Nothing pisses me off more than wearing a new shirt or pants to work only to get a grease/oil stain on it the first day. You don't feel so bad when the Haggar slacks and Gap button down shirt only cost $10 a pop. Plus I'm a cheap bastard to boot.

They never have any suits or coats my size but there usually are a lot of "average-sized" coats and suits. :)

When I pimped it up for Halloween I got some excellent stuff from Goodwill. I swear no one in this country had good taste in the 80's.:D:P
